I’m very happy to say I’ve finished the first draft of a new novel.

It’s about a wedding, a poisoning, a child revolt, and an alternate world. At least, that’s what it’s about for now. Some elements could change as I continue to read through and revise the book.

I’ve been posting about the editing process on Twitter. At this point I’m creating a detailed outline to see all the working parts, and a revision to-do list. Deciding which elements and characters need more work and which can be deleted.

I hope to have it ready by the fall. And while I am happy to have reached this point, it’s difficult to work on as the world faces the current crisis with the coronavirus. I hope everyone is safe and healthy, coping well with the changes in daily life we’ve all had to make.
